I live in one of those three story Italianate town houses that are so common in this area. The house is 136 years old and was totally rehabbed in 1992. By the spring of 2012 I had decided the bathroom on the third floor needed to be redone. It is a good sized room with a ceiling that slants down close to the floor on one side. Bob Trippel had done some tile work for me, so I asked him to give me a bid on the bathroom. Bob listened carefully to what I wanted to accomplish.

Once we agreed on the scope of the project, he took me to showrooms for tile, bathroom fixtures, and shower doors. Bob has a great sense of design and color, so I valued his assistance with my selections. Tile, Bob’s specialty, is the main feature of the room due to the large floor space and high ceiling. Demolishing a third floor bathroom is a messy job, which Bob accomplished with minimal disruption to the rest of the house. The project was completed on schedule and within budget.  Bob quickly made the minor adjustments I requested once the job was finished. I used to tell people I live in the most beautiful house in Covington. After Bob’s remodeling job, I tell them I have the most beautiful bathroom in America.
